Got a date? A special occassion? Need someplace classy for lunch or dinner? Try Romeo's Italian Grill and Bar. Walking into Romeo's you immediately notice the romantic atmosphere, the piano, the upsale feel of the place. We really expected the price of the food to be pretty high, however we found their prices to be quite reasonable.
Dining at Romeo's is definitely a treat that anyone would appreciate. They're serving terrific Italian food, while you enjoy the live pianist. (Wednesday through Saturday from 6pm to close) Of course wonderful Italian food begs for a spectacular wine to finish with. If you are a wine lover, you'll be happy to find an extensive wine menu featuring many high-end wines.
Romeo's has been an Austin favorite for many years. These restaurants are perfect for couples, friends or family to escape life's reality for awhile and share good times and great food.
The menu offers classic Italian cuisine with a Romeo's flare, gourmet pizzas, sandwiches and pastas. We really enjoyed the vegetarian selection "Angel Hair Pomodori" - which is angel hair pasta tossed with tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and a delicious Pomodori sauce then topped with pine nuts. (the pine nuts make a nice finish to this dish) Plus the Chicken Parmesan is absolutely bursting with flavor, also baked in Pomodori sauce and just lightly breaded. Delizioso!!
Being shrimp lovers we also loved the "Shrimp Romeo" which can be ordered with either Pomodori or Pesto cream sauce and comes with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, spinach, and more. But we are anxious to get back there soon and try the "Shrimp Capulet", which is grilled shrimp over Linguini served in a white wine, Asiago cream sauce and sundried tomatoes. (Long live Asiago!) Tip: At any restaurant which serves Asiago Cream Sauce... order a side of the Asiago to go with the bread. You will love it.
Make sure you leave enough room for dessert, you can choose from Chocolate Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Creme Brulee and more. Romeo's offers catering, and on Saturday and Sunday enjoy their brunch menu from 11am till 3pm. For more information on the live music, catering, wines and more, click the website link above.
