If you're looking for a little Asian cuisine...  head over to Lakeway and try Non La.  This cozy little restaurant is owned by Son and Jeannie Ly, who after owning several restaurants all over Austin, know what people like.  "Every meal is a celebration of life!"  It's not only their tag line but goes to show you the care they have taken in creating delicious Vietnamese and Thai dishes to please the masses.

If you're driving through Lakeway looking for this place, it's tucked away in a little shopping center at the corner of 620 and Lohmans Crossing Road.  You won't see it from the road, but make sure that you find this place and drop in for a visit.

Non La means "conical hat", which is what you'll find elegantly incorporated in the decor of the restaurant.  But after the comfortable setting, you'll discover some great Asian food.

For starters, one of our favorite appetizers anywhere is the "Moon Wok".  Strange name like many of their dishes, but the seasoned, battered fried shrimp, wok tossed with onions, bell peppers and salt & pepper packs a punch in the flavor department.  (Not to mention it's a very generous portion for an appetizer.)  Fantastic.

    
Non La offers quite a few choices on their menu from Sushi to soups, salads, Pho (Vietnamese noodle soups), Vermicelli Bowls, rice plates, and Thai plates like "Pad Thai".  They even have a handful of vegetarian dishes that are also vegan.  These delicious Asian dishes hit your palate with a spectrum of flavors brought together to bring you back for more.  We believe that you'll love this place as much as we do.  Oh yeah, don't forget to try their special teas.
