Spice up your dining experience tonight at one of the three Flores Mexican Restaurants. (Northwest Austin, Lakeway, or Oak Hill) These local family owned and operated restaurants were designed around a neighborhood dining idea and really seem to live up to the concept. Having become very popular off of not much more than local word of
mouth, you'll find patrons flocking to Flores at dinner and lunch to enjoy great Mexican food.
We found a solid assortment of Tex-Mex dishes with an added Flores touch to most, some even named after family members. A simple plate of Enchiladas can sometimes be quickly prepared and well... they're just Enchiladas. But we really LOVED this dish at Flores. Sharing everything being served, these were the first to be eaten.
We also loved the Fajitas, but strongly recommend that you try the Camorones Caliente plate. (Jumbo shrimp grilled just right with a spicy chipotle sauce you won't soon forget.) This is one of those meals that leaves you saying how good it is, from the first bite until after you get home. Also you may want to try "Jose's Pollo", which is tender marinated chicken breast covered in a
delicious topping of mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and lots of melted Monterey Jack cheese.|
