favorite... Catfish Parlour. This family owned restaurant has been serving a happy following in Austin since 1973.Catfish Parlour has since expanded a bit, to the current three locations available in Northwest Austin, Southeast
Austin and their newest location in Georgetown.This is a place that we've been eating at since we were kids. They make a variety of comfort and seafood dishes that will keep just about anybody satisfied and coming back for more. From catfish to shrimp and chicken fried steak, oysters, chicken, steak, salmon and other seafood favorites... we love it all.
One of our favorites is the "all you can eat" catfish. Whether it's fried or grilled, Catfish Parlour consistently brings their "A" game. They only
use U.S. farm raised, (never frozen) fresh catfish. Which is then cooked to perfection with the finished product being a plate full of tender, moist and delicious food. (you'll love the jalapeno tartar sauce)If you're eating on the lighter side... the Grilled Catfish makes a great choice. You get two tender, mouthwatering fillets with the Catfish Parlour "Fixins". (rice and steamed veggies instead of fries) Order this dish blackened or our favorite the lemon peppered. You gotta try this one!
If seafood isn't your thing, try out the Chicken Fried Steak or their Chicken Fried Chicken. The Chicken Fried Steak is a tender breaded cutlet topped with their "infamous coon dog" gravy. (good stuff) Compliment that with some delightful, crispy Beer Battered Onion Rings, and you've got a great meal.You will NOT leave this place hungry. Generous portions kind of fit the style of this restaurant,
which is a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Add beer and wine, happy hours, daily specials, lunch buffets, and all you can eat deals... and it's totally obvious why this family business has been so successful for so long.
