Austin Benihana Restaurant owner Brad Meltzer launches his latest restaurant... Meltzer Restaurant and Pub. We were invited to the private launch party. Here are some of the highlights.
Meltzer Restaurant is now open to the public. Located on the south bound access road to I-35, just south of Hwy 183... Meltzer Restaurant offers a full bar, live music and a wide selection of food. From pizza and sandwiches to steak and seafood dishes. Melzer's obvious aim is to create a true Austin restaurant that caters to everybody. "Another stop on our Austin restaurant tour... Chisholm Trail Icehouse & BBQ. This is definitely not your average BBQ joint. Chisholm Trail is just a little off the 183 trail at the corner of Spicewood Springs and 183 next to the Big Lots store. This is a great place to go and watch Longhorn games or other big events with cold beer and hot bbq.
Restaurant owner Randy Hashem is usually there taking care of his loyal customers on a regular basis. Why are they so popular? Plain and simple, when the food is good, the customers come back. And the first thing that hits you when walking in the door is a wonderful aroma of smoked meats. We get hungry just thinking about it.

FREE Pancakes at IHOP!
Interested in a free breakfast? IHOP will be offering FREE pancakes on March 1st, 2011 starting at 7am and lasting till 10pm. This event celebrates national pancake day and is meant to raise awareness and of course a little dough for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. So plan to drop by and enjoy some free flapjacks and in return offer a little something to the Children's Miracle Network.
